UPTEC - Outdoor Leveling System

Innovative 3-in-1 system Designed to complete installations of different heights with one single product
Uptec is a universal, adjustable pedestal for outdoor raised floor installations, specifically indicated for 2 cm - 3/4” ceramic tile. Uptec launches the 3-in-1 revolution, 3 articles (3 base codes: SUPAL, SUPAS and SUPAR) in only one system. The three products work seamlessly with 3 accessories (3 codes: SUPA2, SUPA4 and SUPAW) designed for standard installations (2 mm - 3/32” and 4 mm - 5/32”tile joints) or for wood and aluminum joists. The rubber, interchangeable accessories guarantee a sound dampening, non-slip system. Uptec allows you to reach the desired floor height by simply adding SUPAR spacer rings; an ingenuous locking disc lets you easily change from a self-leveling head to a fixed head. Simple mechanism to change from a self-leveling head to a fixed head.

Can a raised floor installed with Uptec pedestals withstand car passage?
Raised floors cannot withstand car passage. One of the advantages of this system is, in fact, the possibility of carrying out a dry tile installation without the use of adhesive and allowing for the future removal of the structure. This type of installation has optimal resistance to static loads (Uptec resistance to point loads = 14kN), but the components are not connected to each other, so the wheels of a vehicle which cause friction across the tile surface could collapse the structure.

The maximum distance between Uptec pedestals is 60cm. Therefore, when using tile lager than 60 x 60cm, we recommend placing a central pedestal in addition to the pedestals placed on the four corners of the tile.

How do I choose between an Uptec head with a 2mm or 4mm gap?
Choosing between a head with a 2mm (SUPA2) or a 4mm (SUPA4) gap is mainly aesthetically driven (taking into consideration that in outdoor installations a wider joint between the tiles is not as evident as in indoor installations). The advantage of using a head with a 4mm gap is being able to do the final height adjustments using the SUPAK tool, even after the floor is installed, without having to remove any pieces. In addition, the 4mm head can also be used with installations containing aluminum joists.
